Pacquiao- Cotto and the billion dollar Yankee Stadium

This coming Thursday, September 10 is the day that the two badest men in boxing will meet face to face live at the brand spankin new, Yankee Stadium (pictured above) in the Bronx. I have never and will probably never get the chance to make it out to this beautiful Billion dollar real estate monster in the BronX, but I am willing to bet that come Thursday, it's going to get pretty hot inside the Bronx Zoo, as the Pac-Man and the Borriqua Bomber come face to face for the first time.

The promotional tour is basically the last and most important way of promoting this mega event. I for one feel that whenever you have two crushers like Pacquiao and Cotto fighting each other, the fight pretty much promotes itself. You will see each fighter going up to the podium to relay to us how he holds the Firepower to blaze out his opponent. Both men will probably be gentlemen towards each other, but oh my, oh my, then will come the staredown.

The staredown tells a whole different story.

So many words will be said just through the eyes. Both fighters eyes will have a conversation with one another that should only take place in hell. The eyes will say something like this, ''Remember just now how I said that you are a great fighter and the best man will win? Well, I lied, the best man will be me. I will Crush you and show the world that I am the real king of the jungle.'' The other fighters eyes will then counter back with something like this, '' Think what you shall my man, but come November 14, you will feel pain that you have never felt before, I will drag you to the door step of hell and make you experience first hand the savage storm that knows no remorse.''

I know, go ahead and say it, I am the Alfred Hitchcock of Boxing scribes, I paint a horror scene and I paint it well. It comes easy when you have two subjects like Pacquiao and Cotto, It's only then that when I am given 2 monsters that I am able to splatter the horrific painting on canvas and call it art. This promotional tour will take both fighters from NY to Puerto Rico, from Puerto Rico to San Fran, and San Fran to the City of Angels. Before we go from coast to coast however, the barbaric fighters must first be taken to the Bronx Zoo where right then and there, their cages shall open and both vicious fighters will meet to kickoff the tour in front of the likes of Jeter, CC Sabathia and Jorge Posada.
