How does this fight not happen? Perhaps Floyd Mayweather will price himself out of the fight? Doubtful, there is way too much money to make for both fighters, and that's not even including the potential 20 million dollar paydays.
The revenue that would be generated with this fight in endorsements and advertisers would be huge. The projected 20 million dollar purse money would be huge, and then mix in the PPV numbers.
This is a mega fight between the current pound for pound king, Manny Pacquiao, and the person who believes that he is pound for pound king, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
This is the fight that most boxing fans want to see. The personality of Mayweather as the bad guy (even though he's not as bad as people think), and the calm and humble Manny Pacquiao. Then when you mix in the very clear dislike that trainer Freddie Roach has for Mayweather Sr, and vice versa, you have all the makings of a fan friendly throw down.
The pound for pound king title would be on the line in this scrap. A win for Pacquiao reaffirms his current king status, and a win for Mayweather snatches back for him, and sets up a possible rematch? Yes sir, this is the fight that most fans would like to see.
