Dundee’s Thoughts on Cotto – Pacquiao
By Peter Czymbor
Hall of fame trainer Angelo Dundee recently took the time to chat with 8countnews.com about the upcoming Miguel Cotto – Manny Pacquiao welterweight title fight. Dundee, a Tampa resident, recently spent time observing Cotto’s training camp in Florida and shares his thoughts on what he saw. He also brings an interesting perspective to the fight because he was an advisor for Oscar De La Hoya prior to his bout with Pacquaio which stands as Pacquiao’s lone welterweight fight thus far in his career.
Dundee also informs us what’s keeping him busy these days: working with young fighters like Fairfax, Virginia middleweight Jimmy Lange, starring in a new documentary and he gives his views on the recent ESPN televised documentary “Muhammad and Larry” about the 1980 heavyweight title fight between Larry Holmes and Muhammad Ali.
