NBA, MLB, and NFL Playoffs
In Major League Baseball, you have eight playoff teams each fighting to play in the World Series, and to ultimately be the sole, recognized world championship team in baseball.
In the NBA, eight teams from each conference play each other trying to get into the championship game. The top seeded teams initially play the weakest playoff teams. Eventually, the most deserving teams vie for championship glory.
In boxing, you have a systemic flaw. Lunacy. Self-interest. Frustrations.
It's a business / sport where fans shell out cash from their hard-earned paychecks.
Despite frustrations.
2nd Systemic Flaw of Boxing
With the NBA, Major League Baseball, and the NFL, teams cannot be eliminated out of the playoffs because "they are too dangerous" or are "too good." The San San Diego Chargers and the Indianapolis Colts cannot conspire to keep the New England Patriots out of the Super Bowl - even though they have a strong winning record - because the Patriots are just "way too good of an opponent." Or the NBA's L.A. Lakers and Dallas Mavericks cannot conspire to keep the Cleveland Cavaliers out of the NBA championship game because these teams might lose to Lebron James' team (and instead opt to play the Philadelphia 76ers). With its credible playoff format, the NBA is Faaan-tastic!
